Description

Glass Craft is an established company and has developed an entirely new concept in Glass etching and Decoration, which is unique.  Glass Craft became a part of the HASLETT GROUP shortly after its formation in 1997. Glass Craft has researched all aspects of glass etching engraving. This research and development required new technology, ideas and innovations, which enabled the company to become world leaders.

This was confirmed by the granting of US Patent No 7371153 to Basil Haslett in January 2008 – protecting his process to etch toughened/tempered glass.  The Patent has been accepted by Canada, the European Union, and five additional European Countries, with other confirmations due this year.  It has been requested in Hong Kong and contact has also come from organisations in China, keen to participate in this technology. 

Glass Craft now has a strong advantage over competitors which enables us to offer a completely different service to our customers when considering glass applications.

Product/Service Profile

Our specially designed and built mobile engraving equipment allows Glass Craft to etch and engrave any window or glass door anywhere in the world, while the pane remains ‘in situ’.  Glass Craft can engrave any size of internal or external glass from 1/16^th of an inch to 10,000 square yards.

Glass Craft can safely engrave any type of glass on the market. This includes all types of safety glass, for example Toughened and Tempered glass, Fire resistant, Laminated Glass and even Ballistic and Bullet-proof Glass, with no loss of the safety qualities for any of these products.

Glass Craft can re-create many types of intricate company logos with absolute precision. This is due to a combination of computer designed and manufactured resistance stencils and the accuracy of the engraving system itself.

Glass Craft also produce engraved designs, which can be finished in metal foils of gold, platinum, silver of aluminium and full colour. This is particularly popular with regard to corporate imaging and company logos, assuring an exact reproduction of any graphic design.

Glass Graft can create a FROSTING effect on one or both sides of a sheet on a panel of glass.  This provides PRIVACY also as a significant reduction of the SOLAR RADIATION through tempered glass which reduces the HEAT TRANSFERENCE into the space behind the glass.  The glass is found to retain more solar energy within itself when etched and it is also found to be slow to release it so that it has the effect of SUSTAININIG HEAT behind the glass.

There is also a REDUCTION OF ULTRA VIOLET LIGHT penetrating the glass.

 A slight reduction of LUX (light) occurs but not significant, as this light is translucent in character.
